We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. The pose is fantastic -- I really love the fingers on (her) right hand. The shading and simplistic colour scheme make it eyecatching and kinda creepy, but I bet that's the impression you were going for.
The splotches of ink and colour in the background was a nice touch.
Overall, I love it.

my praise:
i love your style, and completely done traditonally. not enough of that here. colors are perfect, the fact that you allowed the paints to partly control your result is awesome...
and my critique:
the balance youve created with your strong verticals, and almost completely symmetrical chick is a bit skewed with that heavy border on the left & top, maybe you could drip some more crimson/black acrylic/watercolor/blood/whateverelseyouused over there.
its a great illustration though. might have to start watching you.
the background is great...
